Selectmen & Water Commissioners clash over merging Superintendents
The Board of Selectmen and the Water Commission are at odds over whether to merge the DPW Superintendent and Water Department Superintendent positions into one job after Vinnie D'Amicus, current DPW Super, retires in December.  The annual town budget, already approved at March's Town Meeting, only allocates enough money for one position, but the Water Commissioners are opposed to joining the two jobs.  Town Administrator Tim Higgins' spreadsheet analysis indicates that merging the two positions would result in savings of $73,112.

Lincoln Honor Roll created
The Lincoln Selectmen have created an Honor Roll of Lincolnites currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Honor Roll recognizes our neighbors and relatives who are risking their lives in active duty.  It is located in the Lincoln Library main floor hallway. The list may not be complete because, under the Patriot Act, the armed services are prohibited from releasing such information.

If you know of other Lincolnites in the armed services, please contact the Selectmen’s office at 259-2600, so that their names can be added to the Honor Roll.
